Weaving together timeless classical music pieces and overlooked gems, MUSIC AS ART highlights specific composers for whom both music and life were intimately related to van Gogh, Picasso, Mondrian and other important artists from the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Commissioned by the Seattle Art Museum and the High Museum of Art, this CD features van Gogh's masterpiece, Café Terrace at Night, on the cover, and works by Chopin, Wagner, Satie, Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, Grieg and others.
